to call at a port in France during her cruise, complaining of the rating of prize
shares as established by the Council, and requesting that the same be altered
in order that the vessel might be manned effectively ; referred to a committee
in Council July fi, 1780, and their report allowing to the seamen of the " Mars "
one-half of all prizes captured was accepted July 7, 1780.

of the company in place of said Turrner, who is stated by Col. Jones as having
proceeded to Liveri)ool, N. S., the previous -winter for the purpose of trading,
and as having been captured by Capt. Agreen Crabtree, belonging at the east-
ward of Penobscot; it is further stated that after the condemnation of the
sloop in which Capt. Turrner was taken, a citation was issued for him to appear
before a court-martial called by Col. Jones, but he did not appear and soon
after was reported as having imdertaken a voyage to the "West Indies, but
according to credible information received by Col. Jones, said Turrner was
believed to be located in Nova Scotia.
