1892, by the amalgamation of the Buffalo Medical and Surgical Association,
the Buffalo Obstetrical Society, the Buffalo Pathological Society, and the
Buffalo Clinical Society.

OBJECTS. — The promotion of the science and art of medicine, Including
the maintenance of a medical library and a museum.

MEMBERSHIP. — Each candidate for resident fellowship must have been a
graduate In medicine in active practice for the two years last preceding the
application, and must be a. resident of the city of Buffalo. Surgeons and
medical officers of the U. S. Army, Navy, and Marine Hospital Service, and
physicians residing outside of the city of Buffalo, may be admitted as non-
resident fellows

and the public from the unlicensed, fraudulent and illegal practice of medi-
cine; (4) to establish a co-operative supply department for the purchase of
supplies; (5) to unite all the physicians and surgeons who shall become its
members for mutual Intercourse and the deliberation of ail questions concerning
our profession.

LONG ISLAND MEDICAL SOCIETY.— Organized May 16, 1893.

OBJECTS. — " The improvement of the members in the knowledge of medi-
cine, surgery, and kindred sciences, and the cultivation and advancement of
those sciences."

MEMBERSHIP. — The active members of this society consist of male gradu-
ates of a regular medical college, members of their County Society, having
had one year's continuous hospital service and being graduate internes or
having been for five years in general practice, residing on Long Island or
within the counties of New York or Richmond.

MEETINGS are held in Kings County Medical Society Building, Court
St., Brooklyn, on the first Tuesday of each month, except from June to Sep-
tember inclusive. Ar>nual meeting in December.

OBJECTS. — The objects of the Academy are " the promotion of the science
and art of medicine, including the maintenance of a public medical library."

MEMBERSHIP. — Each candidate for resident fellowship must have been a
graduate and licentiate in medicine, in active practice, or have been en-
gaged in Bclentlflc work associated therewith, for the three years last pre-
ceding the application, and must be a resident of the State of New York. Resi-
dent Fellows removing from the State may become Non-resident Fellows by
vote of the Academy. Upon resuming residence, they may be readmitted to
