LEGAL REFERENCES :

The legal authority for the Board of Psychologists is Section 66-3201 to
66-3214 inclusive and 82A-1602.27, R. C. M. , 1947. The Board of Psychologists
is attached to the Department of Professional and Occupational Licensing for
administrative purposes only as prescribed by Section 82A-108, R. C. M. , 1947.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

To protect the public from the unauthorized and unqualified practice of
psychology and from unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice
psychology through licensure and regulation.

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS :

1. Completed licensing of applicants under the "grandfather" clause
and licensed the first applicants by written and oral examination.

2. After Hearings before the Board for failure to grant a psychology
license, 3 "grandfather" applicants have filed appeals in District
Court.
