lands and the highway, The first piece lyes at the Southeast corner
of the old lot N° 29 between it & the highway Containing fifty two

The second small piece lyes Northward of the first part and is
joyning to the Southeast corner by the old lot N° 30 and is bounded
on ye West by said old lot on ye East by the highway on ye South
end by the old lot N° 29 on the North end by a small piece laid out
to John Pearsall Containing in the bounds sixty eight square rods
of land as by the map may appear

The third is a small piece of land lying Northward of the second
and is bounded on the West by the said lot N° 30 on the East by ye
highway on ye South by a small piece of land to said John Pearsall
and at the North end but four fifths part of a rod in wedth Con-
taining in this small piece about twenty six sq"" rods of land

The fourth small piece of land lyeth at the Northeast corner and a
little way along the North end of the old lot N° 30 and bounded on
the West end by a small piece laid to Thomas Pearsall and on the
South side by the said old lot— (p. 128) — on the North and North-
east by the highway and is near John Pearsalls house. These pieces
is more plainly described in the general map, And this piece con-
tains thirty eight square rods of land, these three last pieces of land
Rowland sold to Peter Nostrand

West side of the lot N° 44 and begins at the Southwest corner of
said old lot N° 44 and thence running Northerly by the old Lot 42
Rds lOL, and thence about sq'' Westerly about 4 r. 151 which is the
breadth at ye North end and about the same breadth at ye South end
and contains about one hundred and ninety five sq'' rods or one acre
and thirty five rods and this piece Rowland sold Peter Nostrand

leading to Mannat hill thence running by the highway leading to
Jereco path as that road goes quite to Jereco path thence by Jereco
path to his old lotted land thence Eastwardly several courses and
distances as his old lotted land goes until it comes to the land that
the Whitsons sold to William Beadle thence by that land Eastwardly
about four rods to the said road leading to Mannat hill thence South-
wardly by said road to the place of beginning Containing Eastward
of the Rim or Hendricksons purchase twenty five acres three quar-
ters and eighteen rods and between the line of the Rim and Jereco
path three acres three quarters and thirty four rods Recorded by
order of the proprietors this eighth day of February 1770 by me

Thomas Pearsalls crosses the new highway that leads from Richard
Powells to Nathaniel Whitson's at the Northeast corner of the said
piece of land thence running South nine degrees East unto Nathan-
iel Whitsons land thence North eighty five degrees and a half West
to the Northeast corner of John Whitsons old hollow, thence the
same course sixteen rods to the Northwest corner of said old hollow
thence West to the Rim of Woods or Hendricksons purchase thence
North two thirds of a degree East to the path leading from Jereco
path to his house thence running Eastwardly as the path goes to
the place of beginning Containing within the said bounds twenty
(sic) two acres and thirty four rods

Nathaniel Whitsons house to Whitsons Island Beginning at the
Southwest corner thence running North nine degrees West one
hundred and eighteen rods to the said highway leading from Row-
lands to Thomas Pearsalls thence running by that road North eighty
eight degrees and a half East thirty one rods and one half thence
South eighty five degrees and a half East forty four rods thence
South fifty seven degrees East sixty five rods thence by Nathaniel
Whitson's land South line through to the Highway — (p. 131) —
leading from Whitsons Island to Nathaniel Whitson's house thence
running by that highway to the place of beginning Containing with-
in the said bounds sixty one acres one quarter and thirty eight rods
