GRADUATES OF THE THEOLOGICAL
SEMINARY

GRADUATES OF THE THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY'

Prior to 1876 no degree was conferred upon the completion of work
in this department. Beginning with the class of 1876, the degree of Bache-
lor of Divinity was generally, although not invariably, conferred upon the
graduates of the regular (after 1886 the classical) course. Since 1898,
except in rare cases of exceptionally high scholarship, the degree of Bachelor
of Divinity has been conferred only upon students in the classical course
whose preparation for the work included a full collegiate course, with
Greek. From 1898, therefore, the degree is indicated in the list.
