Rachel Whitwell, born at Kendal, July, 1774, and died at Manchester,
18th October, 1833, aged 59. :\larried at Kendal. 3rd Xo\ ember, 1796,
age 22, Edward Pease, son of Joseph Pease and his wife ;Mar\- Richardson.
He was born at Darlington on 31st ]May, 1767, married at 29 and died
at Darlnigton, 31st July, 1858, aged 91.

Issue — Five sons and three daughters

1. John Pease = Sophia Jowitt. Two daughters. (Page 54.)

2. Joseph Pease = Emma Gurney. Eight sons and four daughters. (Page 64.)

3. Edward Pease, born 30th October, 1800, died 1839, aged 39.

4. Rachel Pease, born 30th October, 1800, died 22nd February, 1853.

Married 16th August, 1838, Richard Fry, s.p.

5. Mary Pease, born 17th February, 1802, died 30th May, 1825, aged 23.

6. Ehzabeth Pease = Francis Gibson. One son and one daughter. (Page 99).

7. Isaac Pease, born 29th June, 1805, died 27th October, 1825, aged 20.

John Pease, born at Darlington, 30th September, 1797, died at Great Ayton,
29th July, 1868, aged 70. Married at Leeds, 26th November, 1823, age
26, Sophia Jowitt, daughter of Joseph Jowitt and his wife Grace Firth.
She was born at Leeds on 10th October, 1801, married at 22, and died
at Darlington, 6th August, 1870, aged 68.

Issue — Two daughters.

Sophia Pease, born at Darlington, 11th June, 1837. died at Biarritz on 30th
March, 1897, aged 59. Married at Darlington on 14th August, 1862, age
25, Sir Theodore Fry, Bart., F.S.A., M.P. 1880-96 ; J. P., D.L., Co. Durham ;
C.C, iMderman, Durham, &c., son of Francis Fry and his wife Matilda
Penrose. He was born at Bristol on 1st May, 1836, and died at Catcrham
on 5th February. 1912, aged 75. He married secondly at Birkenhead
on 22nd January, 1902, Florence Bates, daughter of William Bates, of
Claughton. She was born on 29th January, 1875.

Issue — Four sons and four daughters.

Crewdson. She was born at Tottenham, 21st October, 1866.

Residence : Cleveland Lodge, Great Ayton.

Issue — Three sons and three daughters.

(A) Theodore Penrose Fry, born at Darlington, 6th April, 1892.

(b) Helen Joyce Fry, born at Darlington, 11th January, 1896.
