Note. — These Registers begin in 1637, but the writing is too faint to

decipher till 1690, and are contained in three volumes.
Volume I. — Bound in a parchment page of an old service book, and

contains entries of Burials, Baptisms, and Marriages, following

each other promiscuously in order of date.
Volume II. — Marriages from 1733 to 1774. In the body of the book

is a statement that "The Registers between 17 13-1734 are in the

Register books of the parish of Bessingham".
Volume III contains the usual forms of Marriages.
These extracts have been made by the Rev. E. C. Jervis, Vicar of

Beckham, and are now printed under his supervision.
