Think what is could mean to your family if one of you had an
emergency and needed to call home; especially if you have
family members who enjoy spending time on the phone.
Here's how your call waiting feature alerts you:

• A beep tone alerts you that another call is waiting. Only you
hear the tone.

• Another reminder tone will be heard 10 seconds later if the
waiting call remains unanswered.

• The second caller hears the normal ringing tone only.
To answer the second ca!!:

• Depress the hookswitch for about one second to place your
first call on hold.

• You will automatically be connected with the second caller.
To alternate between calls:

• By depressing the hookswitch for about a second, you may
alternate between calls.

• Each conversation is private and cannot be heard by the
other caller.

To terminate either call:

• Simply stay on line, when either caller hangs up you will au-
tomatically be connected with the other caller.

Rates: Business $2.25 Residential $1.75

THREE WAY CALLING iSt

If you ever need to talk with two parties at once, you will
appreciate this feature that turns 2 way calls into 3 way con-
versations. It's easy.
To add a third party:

• First, to hold your existing call, depress the hookswitch for
about a second.

• Then dial the third parties number. (Speed calling codes may
be used if you also have this feature).

• When the third party answers, you may talk privately before
completing your three-way connection. If the party does not
answer, depress the hookswitch for about a second to retain
the original call.

• With your third party on the line, depress the hookswitch for
a second to add the holding party. Your Three-Way Call is
now In effect.

To disconnect:

• If either of the two hang up, you can continue to talk to the
one party remaining.

• If you hang up, all parties are disconnected.

You can complete your call with speed and ease at the
touch of a few buttons. Pushbutton Calling is convenient, ac-
curate, and speeds up your calls.

CALL FORWARDING iBl

Lets you transfer calls to another number. You can go
places without missing Important messages-and without wor-
rying about an unanswered phone telling strangers you're
away. It's also great for the business customer who wants to
receive important calls after business hours at home.
To forward your calls:

• Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

• Dial "72".

• Depress the # button (with a rotary dial, skip this step and
wait 4 seconds).

• Again, listen for the dial tone.

• Now, dial the number where you wish your calls forwarded.
(Speed calling codes may be used if you also have this fea-
ture).

• Listen for two beeps. Call Forwarding is in effect. (Staying on
line until number answers assures your calls have been for-
warded to correct number.)

To discontinue call forwarding:

• Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

• Dial "73".

• Depress the # button (with a rotary dial, skip this step and
wait 4 seconds).

• Listen for two beeps. Call Forwarding is now discontinued.

• Once you've activated Call Forwarding, the phone will make
one short ring each time a call is forwarded. However, you can
still make out-going calls from this phone.

Rates: Business $2.25 Residential $1.75

SPEED CALLING 8 ifil

You can call up to 8 frequently called numbers (including
long distance numbers) just by dialing a one-digit code includ-
ing long distance numbers. It gives added security in time of
emergency. Children can be taught to dial important numbers.
Easier, faster dialing for everyone, including handicapped and
elderly.
To Enter or Change Speed Calling Numbers:

• Select a one-digit code (2-9).

• Dial 74. Listen for dial tone.

• Dial the code you have selected and the complete telephone
number you wish to speed call. For long distance numbers dial
1 (and area code if different from your own). Two beeps will
confirm your entry.

• To call numbers selected for speed calling, simply dial the
one-digit code you have selected. If you have touchtone dial-
ing, press the # button to save additional time. Note: Keep a
current list of your speed calling numbers on the provided
form.

How to connect

and disconnect modular

telephones

These drawings show you how to install
or disconnect your telephones.

A jack for a wall mounted telephone is
shown below. To connect your wall phone,
match the holes in the back of the phone
with the rivets on the wall mounting. Push
the phone lightly against the mounting
and slide it down into place. To
disconnect, slide the phone up to lift it off
the rivets, then pull it away from the wall.

These drawings show standard wall sockets, or jacks, for modular telephone cords. To
install your phone, match the plug at the end of the cord with the jack, and insert. To
disconnect your phone, squeeze the clip on the plug and pull it out of the jack.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please call your Business Office listed on page 3
for additional information regarding service listed below

ADDITIONAL DIRECTORY LISTINGS are a valuable service when members of a house have different surnames
and when used in conjunction with Dual Name Listings. Additional business listings are useful when the business requires
listings in addition to the firm's name.

ATTACHMENTS TO TELEPHONE COMPANY EQUIPMENT are not permitted except where authorized by the
company tariff.

BILLS are due upon receipt and become delinquent after the date shown. Customers are responsible for the payment of
all toll messages originating at their telephone. All requests for adjustments on long distance charges must be made
before the 20th of the month in which the charge was billed, otherwise the adjustment will be made on the following
month's bill.

CUSTOMER PROVIDED TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT and ancillary devices may be directly connected to the com-
pany's lines only under certain conditions and according to the Federal Communications Commission's rules and regula-
tions.

DUAL NAME LISTINGS identify two different people with the same surname and persons known by two different first
names. They are available to all residential customers.

EMPLOYEE IDENTIFICATION CARDS are carried by all telephone people who visit your home or place of busi-
ness. These cards are issued for your protection and show employee's name, photograph and signature.

INCORRECT DIRECTORY LISTINGS may occur occasionally due to the large number of changes each year. If your
listing in the directory is incorrect, it cannot be changed until the next edition of the directory. In the meantime, we can
make sure the listing is correct in Directory Assistance records. In some cases it is possible for calls to an incorrect
number to be rerouted to the correct number. Please call your Service Representative if there is an error in your listings.

INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE caused by accident, weather or other causes may occur. The company asumes no
liability for these service interruptions If service is interrupted for more than 24 hours, other than by the negligence or
willful act of the customer, an allowance at the minimum rate for the telephone facilities and class of service affected at the
time of the interruption shall be made for the time such interruption continues after notice and request to the company. No
other liability shall in any case attach to the company on account of interruption of service.

NUMBER CHANGES may be necessary on occasion to meet the needs and growth of an area. While the company
reserves the right to make necessary changes, every effort will be made to avoid customer inconvenience.
