With direct distance dialing you can dial station-to-station long distance calls to most telephones. Person-to-
person calls, collect calls, credit card calls, calls to be billed to another number and coin telephone calls
normally are placed with the operator. However, some Bessemer telephones, including most coin telephones,
are now equipped to dial these direct. See the following page for information about zero plus dialing.
