STATION TO STATION

Make direct dial, station to station calls if you'll talk with anyone who answers. Rates
are lower than operator assisted calls and charging begins when the called telephone
is answered.

PERSON TO PERSON

Dial your own operator assisted, person to person calls when you wish to talk to a par-
ticular person or extension number. An operator will assist you in completing the call.
Rates are higher than for station to station calls and also apply when you talk to an
alternate person or extension. Charging starts when conversation begins.

COLLECT, CALLING CARD AND CALLS CHARGED TO ANOTHER NUMBER

You can call collect if the person or firm you are calling agrees to pay the charge. You
can also charge long distance calls to your telephone calling card or to another
telephone number. Dial these operator assisted calls and an operator will assist you in
completing the call.

CONFERENCE

You can talk with several people in different places at the same time. Dial
"OPERATOR" and ask for the Conference Operator.

MOBILE AND MARINE SERVICE

You can make local and long distance calls to automobiles, trucks, aircraft, trains,
boats and ships. Ask the "OPERATOR" for the mobile, marine, or high seas operator.

OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL U.S.

You may dial direct your calls to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands,

Calls to practically all the world's telephones can be made from your telephone. See

Operator-assisted one-minute rates

Operator-assisted calls are those requiring the assis-
tance of an Operator to complete the call. These include
person-to-person, coin, collect, calling card, billed to a
third number, hotel guest, and time and charge calls.
The initial rate period for all Operator-assisted calls
within Alabama is one minute.

Christmas Day are billed at the evening rate unless a lower

rate would normally apply (nights and weekends).

Federal Excise Tax is not included in rates shown on these

Dial-direct rates also apply on calls placed with an
Operator from a residence or business phone where
dial-direct facilities are not available.

On dial-direct calls, you pay only for the minutes you
talk. The initial rate period is one minute any time of
day or night.
