brot er'a child who had died of scarlet fever. J! e turning home, he brought
the contnnion aith him, and within a fortnight he loot four of hie own
ehlldren, including his oldest son of fifteen years. Two months later he
met his own violent death; he was kille by a yoke of fractious steers
which ran away with him in the field. T e was an estimable and worthy man
and highly respected. His wido*, Rachel (Bates) Searl, â– Do* 20 1807,
Isaac i -arsons, and lived in Southampton to the age of ninety years.

in 1802, and d'od cpt 10 1882, dau. of Thaddeus & Shoda ( trong) CI* p. He
was a farmer and one of the early members of the lethodist church in South-
