One book only may be taken by each person.

No person upon whom a fine is imposed shall receive a
book while the fine remains unp.iid, nor any member of the
family in which such delinquent lives.

Every book taken from the library must be returned
within fourteen days, but may be renewed with the consent
of the Librarian.

The Librarian is authorized and directed to impose and
collect the following fines :

For each day's detention of a book beyond fourteen
days, i cent.

For each leaf turned down in a book, i cent.

For pencil or ink marks in a book, i cent each.

For the destruction or loss of a book, a fine equal to the
full value of the book, or the set, if it be one of a series of
which single volumes cannot be purchased. On payment
of such fine, the person fined shall be entitled to the residue
of the set.

For the loss or mutilation of a book card, book slip or
book cover, 5 cents.

Prompt measures will be taken to collect every fine im-
posed by these regulations.

The Librarian shall keep a record of the amount of fine*
collected.
