FOREWORD ^g^ggg^

The long promised Bulletin of Addresses of the Alumni and
Former Students of the College is at last ready to send out to
the big Yankton family. The gathering of these addresses, be-
gun several months ago, has been a large task and has involved
no small expense, but we believe that all of you will be glad it
was undertaken, and are confident that the publication of the
list will promote renewal of acquaintance among you and stimu-
late your loyalty to the College.

I wish to mention the helpers in this labor, Mrs. G. H.
Durand and Mrs. Gertrude Tripp, who started the correspond-
ence and the card index, and Mrs. A. L. Lee. the wife of our
secretary, who later took it in hand and has done the larger share
of the work. Secretary Lee himself has had charge of bringing
the Bulletin through the press.

The list of names is not complete but is as nearly complete
as we could make it. If you know of someone whose name is
omitted we urgently request you to write to as and give what
information you cah. If you note any errors in addresses given
please inform us without fail.

The items of news which you have been sending in on the
reply postal cards proved too bulky for the r^ulletin and they
are to be published in the special monthly alumni and former
student number of The Yankton Student, which we propose to
send to all of you during the present school year. It will contain
not only these items you have sent, but special articles and other
matters of interest to every former student. If you are not a sub-
scriber to the regular weekly Student we solicit your subscription
to this monthly issue, 50 cents, in postage, money order or draft.
The College has assumed the expense of this extra monthly dis-
tribution of The Yankton Student and would appreciate your re-
mittance of the subscription price.

Subscriptions, and also information regarding addresses, may
be sent to Secretar>' A. L. Lee.

Allow me to make four suggestions regarding the use of the
Bulletin of Addresses:

1. Carefully preserve your copy of the Bulletin for reference.

2. Find addresses of some of your friends and class-mates
and write to them.

3. Make yourself familiar with names of former Yankton
students in your town and vicinity and take occasion to
get in touch with them.

4. Do your share in building up the Pound Professorship Fund,
to be raised by the alumni and former students as part
of our present endowment campaign. Subscribe to it.
promote it among your class-mates and friends, get into
the swing of this splendid, loyal, get-together movement.

President Warren and the faculty join me in greetings and
best wishes to everj^ one of you.

Yours truly,

G. H. DURAND,

Vice President.
